yasy-asti bhaktir bhagavaty akinchana sarvair gunais tatra samasate surah
harav abhaktasya kuto mahadguna manorathen-asati dhavato bahih
यस्यास्ति भक्तिर्भगवत्यकिञ्चना सर्वैर्गुणैस्तत्र समासते सुराः।
हरावभक्तस्य कुतो महद्गुणा मनोरथेनासति धावतो बहिः॥
All the gods with all good qualities dwell in one who has selfless devotion to the Lord. But how can great qualities exist in one without devotion, whose mind runs after fantasies and things outside?

जिसके मन में भगवान की निष्काम भक्ति है, उसमें सभी देवता अपने सब गुणों के साथ निवास करते हैं। पर जो भक्तिहीन है और जिसका मन कल्पनाओं के पीछे बाहर भागता है, उसमें महान गुण कहाँ से आएँगे?
अच्छा चरित्र उस दिल में अपने आप उगता है जो किसी ऊँची चीज़ से जुड़ा हो। जो मन बस सपनों के पीछे भागता है, उसमें गुण टिकते नहीं। दिल को जोड़ो, अच्छाई अपने आप आएगी।
