Srimad Bhagavatam 4.9.47 meaning

yasya prasanno bhagavan gunair maitryadibhir harih tasmai namanti bhootani nimnam apa iva svayam

All beings bow to one with whom Lord Hari is pleased because of qualities like friendliness, just as water flows downhill on its own.

What it means
Suruchi, once cruel to Dhruva, now embraces him. Kindness and friendliness naturally win people over. You do not need to demand respect; good character draws it like gravity.
