Srimad Bhagavatam 4.8.34 meaning
gunadhikan mudam lipsed anukrosham gunadhamat
maitreem samanad anvichchen na tapair abhibhooyate
गुणाधिकान्मुदं लिप्सेदनुक्रोशं गुणाधमात्।
मैत्रीं समानादन्विच्छेन्न तापैरभिभूयते॥
Rejoice in those more gifted than you, feel compassion for those less fortunate, and seek friendship with equals. Then you will not be overcome by distress.
What it means
A simple recipe against envy and pride: celebrate those ahead of you, help those behind you, and befriend those beside you. Comparison then slowly turns into connection.हिंदी में अर्थ
अपने से अधिक गुणवान को देखकर प्रसन्न हो, कम गुण वाले पर दया करो और बराबर वालों से मित्रता चाहो। इससे दुख तुम्हें दबा नहीं पाएगा।
ईर्ष्या और घमंड से बचने का सरल नुस्खा: आगे वालों की ख़ुशी मनाओ, पीछे वालों की मदद करो, साथ वालों से दोस्ती करो। तब तुलना जुड़ाव में बदल जाती है।
