Srimad Bhagavatam 4.8.33 meaning

yasya yad daivavihitam sa tena sukhaduhkhayoh atmanam toshayan dehee tamasah param richchati

Whatever happiness or sorrow destiny brings, the embodied person who keeps themselves content with it crosses beyond the darkness.

What it means
Both pleasure and pain will come. Peace lies in how we receive them. Meeting each with a steady heart, rather than resistance, slowly lifts us out of inner darkness.

Spoken by Narada.
