Srimad Bhagavatam 4.8.29 meaning
paritushyet tatas tata tavanmatrena poorushah
daivopasaditam yavad veekshyeshvaragatim budhah
परितुष्येत्ततस्तात तावन्मात्रेण पूरुषः।
दैवोपसादितं यावद्वीक्ष्येश्वरगतिं बुधः॥
So, child, a wise person, recognising the will of the Lord, should be content with whatever comes to him by destiny.
What it means
Contentment does not mean giving up effort. It means not poisoning today with resentment about what you lack. Gratitude for what has come makes the next step lighter.हिंदी में अर्थ
इसलिए, बेटा, समझदार व्यक्ति ईश्वर की इच्छा को पहचानकर, भाग्य से जो कुछ मिले, उसी में संतोष करे।
संतोष का अर्थ प्रयास छोड़ना नहीं। इसका अर्थ है जो नहीं है उसकी कड़वाहट से आज को ज़हरीला न बनाना। जो मिला उसके लिए आभार अगला कदम आसान बनाता है।
