griheshu vartamanopi sa samrajyashriyanvitah
nasajjatendriyartheshu nirahammatir arkavat
गृहेषु वर्तमानोऽपि स साम्राज्यश्रियान्वितः।
नासज्जतेन्द्रियार्थेषु निरहंमतिरर्कवत्॥
Though he lived at home and enjoyed the splendour of an empire, Prithu was not attached to sense pleasures. Free of ego, he was like the sun, which shines on all yet is untouched.
