Srimad Bhagavatam 3.29.9 meaning
vishayan abhisandhaya yasha aishvaryam eva va
archadav archayed yo mam prithagbhavah sa rajasah
विषयानभिसंधाय यश ऐश्वर्यमेव वा।
अर्चादावर्चयेद्यो मां पृथग्भावः स राजसः॥
One who worships my image aiming at pleasures, fame or power, seeing me as separate, has a devotion of the restless, rajasic kind.
What it means
Prayer as a transaction, 'give me success, fame, money', is common and human. Kapila does not condemn it, but invites us to notice it and slowly aim for something deeper.हिंदी में अर्थ
जो विषय-सुख, यश या ऐश्वर्य पाने के लिए मूर्ति आदि में मेरी पूजा करता है और भेद-भाव रखता है, उसकी भक्ति राजसिक है।
प्रार्थना को सौदा बनाना, 'सफलता, यश, पैसा दो', आम और मानवीय है। कपिल इसकी निंदा नहीं करते, पर इसे पहचानकर धीरे-धीरे गहराई की ओर बढ़ने को कहते हैं।
