Srimad Bhagavatam 3.29.22 meaning
yo mam sarveshu bhooteshu santam atmanam eeshvaram
hitvarcham bhajate maudhyad bhasmany-eva juhoti sah
यो मां सर्वेषु भूतेषु सन्तमात्मानमीश्वरम्।
हित्वार्चां भजते मौढ्याद्भस्मन्येव जुहोति सः॥
Whoever ignores me, the Lord present as the Self in all beings, and out of foolishness worships only the image, is pouring offerings into ashes.
What it means
Offering into ashes means effort without any result. Rituals mean little if we treat living beings with contempt. True reverence includes every single person and creature you meet.हिंदी में अर्थ
जो सब प्राणियों में आत्मा रूप से स्थित मुझ ईश्वर की उपेक्षा करके मूर्खता से केवल मूर्ति को पूजता है, वह मानो राख में आहुति डालता है।
राख में आहुति का अर्थ है बेकार मेहनत। अगर हम जीवों का तिरस्कार करते हैं तो कर्मकांड का कोई अर्थ नहीं। सच्ची श्रद्धा में हर मिलने वाला शामिल है।
