Srimad Bhagavatam 2.3.24 meaning
tad ashmasaram hridayam bat-edam yad grihyamanair harinamadheyaih
na vikriyet-atha yada vikaro netre jalam gatraruheshu harshah
तदश्मसारं हृदयं बतेदं यद्गृह्यमाणैर्हरिनामधेयैः।
न विक्रियेताथ यदा विकारो नेत्रे जलं गात्ररुहेषु हर्षः॥
Alas, that heart must be made of stone which does not melt when the names of Hari are chanted, when the eyes do not fill with tears and the body does not thrill with joy.
What it means
Devotion is meant to be felt, not just performed. If prayers and rituals never touch the heart, something is missing. Allow yourself to be moved; softness is a strength.हिंदी में अर्थ
हाय! वह हृदय पत्थर का बना है जो हरि के नाम सुनकर भी नहीं पिघलता, जब न आँखों में आँसू आते हैं और न शरीर में रोमांच होता है।
भक्ति महसूस करने की चीज़ है, सिर्फ़ निभाने की नहीं। अगर प्रार्थना कभी दिल को छूती ही नहीं, तो कुछ कमी है। खुद को भावुक होने दो; कोमलता भी ताकत है।
