Srimad Bhagavatam 11.7.48 meaning

visargadyah shmashananta bhava dehasya n-atmanah kalanam iva chandrasya kalen-avyaktavartmana

Changes from birth to the cremation ground belong to the body, not to the self, just as the phases belong to the moon's visible form, brought about by time, whose movement cannot be seen.

What it means
The moon seems to wax and wane, but it remains whole. Your body grows and ages, yet your deepest self stays complete. This can soften fear of ageing and death.

Spoken by Avadhuta.
