Srimad Bhagavatam 11.7.44 meaning
svachchah prakrititah snigdho madhuryas teerthabhoor nrinam
munih punaty apam mitram eeksh-opasparshakeertanaih
A sage is like water: naturally clear, gentle and sweet, a place of purification for people. Like a friend, he purifies others simply when they see him, touch him or speak his name.
What it means
Water cleans and refreshes everything it touches without effort. A good person does the same: their clarity, gentleness and sweetness lift those around them just by being near.
Spoken by Avadhuta.
