Srimad Bhagavatam 11.23.51 meaning

duhkhasya hetur yadi devatas tu kim atmanas tatra vikarayos tat yad angam angena nihanyate kvachit krudhyeta kasmai purushah svadehe

If the gods are said to cause pain, how does that touch the self? Both are just changes of the same nature. When one part of the body strikes another, at whom should a person be angry?

What it means
If you accidentally bite your own tongue, you do not punish your teeth. Seeing all life as connected softens anger and makes forgiveness feel natural.

Spoken by Brahmin Mendicant.
