Srimad Bhagavatam 11.2.42 meaning

bhaktih paresh-anubhavo viraktir anyatra ch-aisha trika ekakalah prapadyamanasya yath-ashnatah syus tushtih pushtih kshudapayonughasam

For one who takes refuge in the Lord, devotion, direct experience of the Lord, and detachment from other things all arise together, just as for someone eating, satisfaction, nourishment and relief from hunger grow with every bite.

What it means
Spiritual growth is not a distant reward; it shows up bite by bite. Each sincere step brings a little more peace, a little more strength, and a little less craving.

Spoken by Kavi.
