Srimad Bhagavatam 11.19.41 meaning
shreer guna nairapekshyadyah sukham duhkhasukh-atyayah
duhkham kamasukh-apeksha pandito bandhamokshavit
True wealth is good qualities like freedom from need. Happiness is rising above both pleasure and pain. Misery is longing for sensual pleasure. A wise person is one who understands bondage and freedom.
What it means
Riches, happiness and wisdom are often measured wrongly. Krishna points inward: good character is wealth, inner balance is happiness, and craving is the real misery.
Spoken by Krishna.
