kripalur akritadrohas titikshuh sarvadehinam
satyasaronavadyatma samah sarv-opakarakah
कृपालुरकृतद्रोहस्तितिक्षुः सर्वदेहिनाम्।
सत्यसारोऽनवद्यात्मा समः सर्वोपकारकः॥
A true saint is compassionate, harms no one, is patient with all beings, holds truth as his strength, is free of faults, sees all equally, and helps everyone.
What it means

सच्चा संत दयालु होता है, किसी से द्रोह नहीं करता, सब प्राणियों के प्रति सहनशील होता है, सत्य ही उसका बल है, वह निर्दोष, समदर्शी और सबका उपकार करने वाला होता है।
कृष्ण अच्छे इंसान का सरल वर्णन करते हैं: दयालु, अहिंसक, धैर्यवान, सच्चा, निष्पक्ष और मददगार। संत बनने के लिए विशेष वेश नहीं चाहिए; ये गुण काफी हैं।
