Srimad Bhagavatam 11.10.12 meaning
acharyoranir adyah syad antevasy-uttararanih
tatsandhanam pravachanam vidyasandhih sukhavahah
आचार्योऽरणिराद्यः स्यादन्तेवास्युत्तरारणिः।
तत्संधानं प्रवचनं विद्यासंधिः सुखावहः॥
The teacher is the lower fire-stick, the student the upper fire-stick, and the teaching is the rubbing between them. The knowledge that sparks from their union brings happiness.
What it means
