Srimad Bhagavatam 10.81.35 meaning

kinchit karoty urv api yat svadattam suhritkritam phalgv api bhoorikaree may-opaneetam prithuk-aikamushtim pratyagraheet preetiyuto mahatma

He treats the great things he gives as small, and the small things his friends do as great. That great-hearted one lovingly accepted the single handful of flattened rice I brought him.

What it means
Sudama describes true friendship: downplay what you give, celebrate what you receive. A generous friend never makes others feel small for what they can offer; instead, they make even the humblest gift feel precious.

Spoken by Sudama.
