Srimad Bhagavatam 10.4.22 meaning

yavad dhatosmi hant-asm-eety-atmanam manyatesvadrik tavat tadabhimany-ajno badhyabadhakatam iyat

As long as a person without self-knowledge thinks 'I am killed' or 'I am the killer', that ignorant one, attached to the body, remains caught in the cycle of hurting and being hurt.

What it means
Seeing ourselves only as victims or only as doers keeps us trapped in conflict. When we see a deeper self beyond these roles, the cycle of blame and revenge begins to loosen.

Spoken by Kamsa.
