Srimad Bhagavatam 10.4.19 meaning
bhuvi bhaumani bhootani yatha yanty-apayanti cha
nayam atma tath-aiteshu viparyeti yath-aiva bhooh
Just as things made of earth appear on the earth and then disappear back into it while the earth stays the same, so the soul does not change while bodies come and go.
What it means
Even the repentant Kamsa speaks a deep truth here. Forms change, people come and go, but the essence underneath remains. Seeing this can soften grief over what we lose.
Spoken by Kamsa.
