Srimad Bhagavatam 1.9.21 meaning
sarvatmanah samadrisho hy-advayasyanahankriteh
tatkritam mativaishamyam niravadyasya na kvachit
सर्वात्मनः समदृशो ह्यद्वयस्यानहंकृतेः।
तत्कृतं मतिवैषम्यं निरवद्यस्य न क्वचित्॥
He is the Self of all, equal to all, one without a second and free of ego. In him, the faultless one, there is never any partiality.
What it means
Bhishma reminds us that the divine has no favourites. Fairness without ego is the ideal. The closer we get to it, the less we judge people by who is 'ours'.हिंदी में अर्थ
वे सबकी आत्मा हैं, सबको समान देखते हैं, अद्वितीय हैं और अहंकार से रहित हैं। उन निर्दोष प्रभु में कभी कोई भेदभाव नहीं होता।
भीष्म याद दिलाते हैं कि ईश्वर का कोई प्रिय-अप्रिय नहीं। अहंकार रहित निष्पक्षता ही आदर्श है। हम उसके जितने पास जाते हैं, उतना कम 'अपने-पराए' से लोगों को परखते हैं।
