Srimad Bhagavatam 1.2.7 meaning
vasudeve bhagavati bhaktiyogah prayojitah
janayaty-ashu vairagyam jnanam cha yad ahaitukam
वासुदेवे भगवति भक्तियोगः प्रयोजितः।
जनयत्याशु वैराग्यं ज्ञानं च यदहैतुकम्॥
When devotion is directed to Vasudeva, the Lord, it quickly brings detachment, along with a wisdom that does not depend on mere argument.

जब भगवान वासुदेव में भक्ति लगाई जाती है, तो वह जल्दी ही वैराग्य पैदा करती है, और ऐसा ज्ञान भी देती है जो केवल तर्क पर नहीं टिका होता।
किसी ऊँची चीज़ से प्रेम होने पर छोटी चीज़ों की पकड़ अपने आप ढीली हो जाती है। वैराग्य और समझ ज़बरदस्ती नहीं आते; दिल सही दिशा में हो तो वे खुद उगते हैं।
