Srimad Bhagavatam 1.2.6 meaning

sa vai punsam paro dharmo yato bhaktir adhokshaje ahaituky-apratihata yayatma supraseedati

The highest dharma for any human being is that which awakens love for the Divine, a love that seeks no reward and cannot be stopped by anything. Through such love the self becomes completely content.

What it means
Love that expects nothing back is the purest kind, and it brings a peace nothing else can. When devotion is not a transaction, the heart stops bargaining and finally settles into deep contentment.
