Srimad Bhagavatam 1.17.19 meaning

kechid vikalpavasana ahur atmanam atmanah daivam anyepare karma svabhavam apare prabhum

Some, holding different theories, say a person is the cause of their own suffering. Others blame fate, others their actions, others nature, and still others a supreme ruler.

What it means
Asked who hurt him, the wounded bull refuses to point a finger and lists the many explanations people give for suffering. Sometimes wisdom is admitting that blame is complicated.
