yada hi nendriyartheshu na karmasv-anushajjate
sarvasankalpa-sannyasee yogaroodhas tadochyate
When a person is no longer hooked by sense pleasures or by the actions they do, and has let go of all selfish scheming, they are said to have reached the height of yoga.
What it means
You know you have grown when cravings stop pulling your strings and your work no longer feeds your ego. You still act and enjoy life, but nothing owns you.How it helps in real life
- At work: Notice your mood depends on your boss praising you? Do one task today purely well and let it be enough without applause.
- Phone & habits: Your phone buzzes and you grab it every time? Leave it face down for an hour today and notice who's in charge.
Spoken by Krishna.
