Bhagavad Gita 6.35 meaning
asanshayam mahabaho mano durnigraham chalam
abhyasena tu kaunteya vairagyena cha grihyate
Without a doubt, mighty Arjuna, the mind is restless and hard to control. But with steady practice and letting go of attachment, it can be held.
What it means
Krishna does not deny the struggle; he gives a method. Practice means returning again and again. Detachment means not feeding every craving. Together, they slowly train even a wild mind. How it helps in real life
- Phone & habits: Can't stop checking stock prices every hour? Practise: open the app only twice a day, and delete the widget from your home screen.
- When you are angry: Lose your temper with the kids every evening? Practise one pause before speaking each time, and stop feeding the irritation with replays.
Spoken by Krishna.
