Bhagavad Gita 6.34 meaning
chanchalam hi manah krishna pramathi balavad dridham
tasyaham nigraham manye vayor iva sudushkaram
The mind is truly restless, Krishna, turbulent, powerful and stubborn. I think controlling it is as hard as holding back the wind.
What it means
If your thoughts feel impossible to tame, you are in good company; even Arjuna, a great warrior, felt the same. Admitting the struggle is the first step to working with it.How it helps in real life
- When you are worried: Mind racing with worst-case thoughts before a scan result? Admit it's hard, tell someone close, and don't fight the thoughts alone.
- Studies & exams: Feel like the only one who can't focus in the library? Even great people struggled. Admit it and try a twenty-five-minute timer.
Spoken by Arjuna.
