Bhagavad Gita 6.29 meaning
sarvabhootastham atmanam sarvabhootani chatmani
eekshate yogayuktatma sarvatra samadarshanah
One whose mind is united in yoga sees the Self present in all beings and all beings in the Self, and sees the same everywhere.
What it means
When you sense the same life in everyone, it becomes hard to look down on anyone. Seeing others as connected to you is the root of real kindness. How it helps in real life
- At work: Looking down on the office cleaning staff without realising it? Learn one person's name and story this week, and greet them daily.
- When you are angry: Irritated by your noisy neighbours? Remind yourself they're just like you, then politely knock and talk instead of complaining online.
Spoken by Krishna.
