Bhagavad Gita 6.26 meaning
yato yato nishcharati manash chanchalam asthiram
tatas tato niyamy-aitad atmany-eva vasham nayet
Whenever the restless, unsteady mind wanders off, wherever it goes, pull it back from there and bring it under the control of the Self.
What it means
Your mind will wander, and that is normal. The practice is not keeping it from wandering but calmly bringing it back, again and again. Each return strengthens focus. How it helps in real life
- Studies & exams: Mind drifting to a crush while revising notes? No guilt; gently bring it back to the page every time, like a rep at the gym.
- At work: Thoughts wandering to your weekend plans during an important call? Notice it, note one point the client said, and stay present.
Spoken by Krishna.
