What it means
This verse begins describing the deepest state of meditation. When mental noise settles, you start to recognise who you are beneath the chatter, and that discovery itself brings contentment. How it helps in real life
- When you feel alone: Constantly needing noise, music or calls to avoid your thoughts? Sit in silence for five minutes tonight and simply get to know yourself.
- Every day: After your morning sit, don't rush to the phone. Stay one extra minute in the quiet and notice the contentment there.
