Bhagavad Gita 6.2 meaning

yam sannyasam iti prahur yogam tam viddhi pandava na hy-asannyastasankalpo yogee bhavati kashchana

Arjuna, understand that what people call renunciation is really yoga. No one becomes a yogi without first letting go of selfish plans and cravings.

What it means
Renouncing and practising yoga are the same thing at heart. Both ask you to drop the constant scheming of the ego, the endless 'I want this to happen for me.'

Spoken by Krishna.
