yada viniyatam chittam atmany-evavatishthate
nihsprihah sarvakamebhyo yukta ity-uchyate tada
When the well-trained mind rests in the Self alone, free from craving for any pleasure, then a person is said to be established in yoga.
What it means
Happiness that depends on getting things is always fragile. When the mind can rest content within, without needing the next thrill, you find a steadier kind of joy.How it helps in real life
- When you succeed: Bought the dream bike and the thrill faded in a week? Notice it, and spend an evening simply content at home without buying anything.
- When you feel alone: Alone on a Friday night and reaching for apps to feel better? Make tea, sit by the window, and enjoy your own company.
Spoken by Krishna.
