Bhagavad Gita · Dhyana Yoga
Bhagavad Gita 6.17 meaning
yuktahara-viharasya yuktacheshtasya karmasu
yuktasvapn-avabodhasya yogo bhavati duhkhaha
For one who is balanced in eating and recreation, balanced in effort at work, balanced in sleep and waking, yoga becomes the remover of all sorrow.
What it means
This is the original work-life balance. Eat sensibly, rest enough, play a little, work steadily. A balanced routine quietly dissolves a lot of stress and unhappiness. How it helps in real life
- At work: Working weekends for months and snapping at everyone? Block Sunday for family, a nap and a game, and keep it sacred.
- Every day: Write a simple daily routine: fixed wake time, real breakfast, focused work blocks, an evening walk, and lights out by eleven.
Spoken by Krishna.
