Bhagavad Gita 5.23 meaning

shaknoteeh-aiva yah sodhum prak shareeravimokshanat kamakrodhodbhavam vegam sa yuktah sa sukhee narah

One who, here in this life, before leaving the body, can withstand the surge of desire and anger is a true yogi and a truly happy person.

What it means
Desire and anger come like waves. You cannot always stop them arising, but you can learn to hold steady when they hit. That inner strength, practised daily, is the secret of real happiness.

Spoken by Krishna.
