Bhagavad Gita 4.7 meaning
yada yada hi dharmasya glanir bhavati bharata
abhyutthanam adharmasya tadatmanam srijamy-aham
Whenever goodness and right living decline, Arjuna, and wrongdoing rises up, at that time I bring myself forth into the world.
What it means
This is a promise of hope. However dark things get, goodness is never abandoned. When the world seems to tilt toward wrong, a force for right will rise again, sometimes through people like you.How it helps in real life
- When you are worried: Disheartened by bad news headlines every morning? Switch them off for a day and do one good deed in your own neighbourhood.
- Helping others: See someone being bullied on the metro and everyone looking away? Be the one who steps in calmly or alerts staff.
Spoken by Krishna.
