Bhagavad Gita · Jnana Karma Sannyasa Yoga
Bhagavad Gita 4.5 meaning
bahooni me vyateetani janmani tava charjuna
tany-aham veda sarvani na tvam vettha parantapa
Krishna said: Arjuna, both you and I have passed through many births. I remember all of them, but you do not remember yours.
What it means
Life is far longer and larger than the small story we remember. We see only this one chapter, while the full book is bigger. That thought can ease the pressure of treating every moment as everything. How it helps in real life
- After a setback: Treating one bad semester as your whole life story? Remember this is one chapter of a much bigger book, and plan next term.
- When you are worried: Panicking that turning 30 unmarried means you've missed everything? Zoom out; life is far longer than this moment. Breathe and enjoy today.
Spoken by Krishna.
