Bhagavad Gita 2.70 meaning

apooryamanam achalapratishtham samudram apah pravishanti yadvat tadvat kama yam pravishanti sarve sa shantim apnoti na kamakamee

Just as rivers keep flowing into the ocean, which is always being filled yet stays still within its bounds, a person into whom all desires flow in the same way finds peace, not one who chases desires.

What it means
Desires will keep arriving like rivers. The point is to be like the ocean: they come, but they don't make us overflow. Peace is not having no wants but not being ruled by them.

Spoken by Krishna.
