Bhagavad Gita 2.62 meaning
dhyayato vishayan punsah sangas tesh-oopajayate
sangat sanjayate kamah kamat krodhobhijayate
When a person keeps thinking about sense objects, attachment to them grows. From attachment comes desire, and from desire comes anger.
What it means
It all starts with a thought we keep replaying. Dwelling turns into attachment, attachment into craving, and blocked craving into anger. Catching it early, at the thought stage, is the key.How it helps in real life
- When you are angry: Replaying your cousin's taunt from the wedding all week? Catch the thought next time it starts and switch to something you're doing.
- With money: Keep checking that ₹2 lakh phone online? Stop opening the page; the more you look, the more you want and resent not having it.
Spoken by Krishna.
