Bhagavad Gita 2.59 meaning
vishaya vinivartante niraharasya dehinah
rasavarjam rasopy-asya param drishtva nivartate
When a person stops feeding the senses, sense objects fall away, but the taste for them remains. Even that taste disappears once the highest is seen.
What it means
Simply avoiding temptation doesn't end the craving inside. Lasting change comes when we find something more fulfilling, so the old pulls lose their charm on their own.How it helps in real life
- Phone & habits: Deleted Instagram but still itching for it? Fill that time with something richer, like a sport, music or calling an old friend.
- Health & body: Quit late-night junk food but still craving it? Find a hobby you love for evenings so the old habit slowly loses its pull.
Spoken by Krishna.
