Bhagavad Gita 2.45 meaning
traigunyavishaya veda nistraigunyo bhav-arjuna
nirdvandvo nityasattvastho niryogakshema atmavan
The Vedas deal with the three qualities of nature. Rise above them, Arjuna. Be free of opposites, always rooted in purity, unconcerned with getting and keeping, and centred in the self.
What it means
Life constantly pulls us between opposites: gain and loss, praise and blame. Krishna asks us to stand on firmer ground inside ourselves, beyond the anxious urge to acquire and protect.
Spoken by Krishna.
