Bhagavad Gita 2.35 meaning
bhayad ranad uparatam mansyante tvam maharathah
yesham cha tvam bahumato bhootva yasyasi laghavam
The great warriors will think you fled the battle out of fear. Those who held you in high esteem will come to think little of you.
What it means
Krishna points out how retreat will look to others. While we should not live for approval, it is worth asking: am I stepping back from wisdom, or simply from fear? How it helps in real life
- Big decisions: Planning to drop your CA final attempt? Ask honestly: is this a wise change of path, or just fear? Write both answers down.
- When you are worried: Avoiding the tough conversation with your co-founder? Book the meeting today; dodging it looks like fear to everyone, including you.
Spoken by Krishna.
