Bhagavad Gita 2.23 meaning
nainam chindanti shastrani nainam dahati pavakah
na chainam kledayanty-apo na shoshayati marutah
Weapons cannot cut the soul, fire cannot burn it, water cannot wet it, and wind cannot dry it.
What it means
Whatever life throws at us, something at our core stays untouched. Criticism, failure or illness can hurt the outer self, but not the deepest you. That knowing gives quiet resilience. How it helps in real life
- At work: Your manager tears apart your report in front of everyone. Let the words hit the work, not you; fix what's valid tomorrow.
- Health & body: Feeling broken during a long illness? Tell yourself the deepest you is untouched, and keep one small daily ritual going.
Spoken by Krishna.
