Bhagavad Gita 2.21 meaning
ved-avinashinam nityam ya enam ajam avyayam
katham sa purushah partha kam ghatayati hanti kam
Partha, if someone knows the soul to be indestructible, eternal, unborn and unchanging, how can that person kill anyone, or cause anyone to be killed?
What it means
Krishna asks Arjuna to look past the surface of action to the deeper reality. When we see our true nature clearly, guilt and fear lose their grip, and we can act from clarity instead. How it helps in real life
- Big decisions: Paralysed by guilt over firing an underperformer? Look at the bigger picture, do it kindly, and help them find their next role.
- When you are angry: You keep replaying a fight with your brother. Step back, see the deeper bond beyond the argument, and call him first.
Spoken by Krishna.
