Bhagavad Gita 2.19 meaning
ya enam vetti hantaram yash chainam manyate hatam
ubhau tau na vijaneeto nayam hanti na hanyate
One who thinks the soul kills, and one who thinks it is killed, both fail to understand. It neither kills nor is killed.
What it means
Krishna is speaking about the deepest self, which no harm can touch. It is not a licence for violence but a reminder that our essence is beyond injury, so fear need not rule us.How it helps in real life
- When you are angry: Someone insults you in the family WhatsApp group. Your real self isn't hurt by words; wait an hour before replying, or don't.
- When you are worried: Trolls are flooding your comments after a post. Remember they can't touch who you are; mute, block, and step away.
Spoken by Krishna.
