Bhagavad Gita 2.16 meaning
nasato vidyate bhavo nabhavo vidyate satah
ubhayor api drishtontas tv-anayos tattvadarshibhih
What is unreal never truly exists, and what is real never stops existing. Those who see the essence of things have understood the truth about both.
What it means
Some things in life are passing appearances; something at the core stays. Learning to tell the two apart helps us stop clinging to what will fade and rest in what is lasting. How it helps in real life
- Phone & habits: Comparing your life to Instagram highlights at midnight? Remind yourself those are passing images, close the app, and text someone real.
- With money: Tempted to buy a bigger car to impress relatives? Ask what will still matter in ten years, then decide.
Spoken by Krishna.
