Krishna said: You grieve for those who need no grief, yet you speak words that sound wise. The truly wise grieve neither for the living nor for the dead.
What it means
Krishna gently points out that sounding wise and seeing clearly are different things. Grief is human, but it often comes from forgetting the deeper truth of life. Real understanding steadies the heart. How it helps in real life
- In grief: At your grandfather's chautha, everyone repeats wise lines. Instead of quoting, sit quietly and remember one thing he taught you.
- With friends: You give your friend perfect advice on her breakup but can't follow it yourself. Notice the gap and live one line of it today.
Spoken by Krishna.
