Bhagavad Gita 18.8 meaning
duhkham ity-eva yat karma kayakleshabhayat tyajet
sa kritva rajasam tyagam n-aiva tyagaphalam labhet
One who gives up a duty only because it is painful or tiring for the body makes a rajasic renunciation and never gains the true fruit of letting go.
What it means
Quitting something just because it is hard feels like relief, but it brings no real freedom. Comfort-driven quitting keeps you stuck; real peace comes from facing what needs doing.
Spoken by Krishna.
