Bhagavad Gita 18.36 meaning
sukham tv-idaneem trividham shrinu me bharatarshabha
abhyasad ramate yatra duhkhantam cha nigachchati
Now hear from me, best of the Bharatas, the three kinds of happiness: the one a person comes to enjoy through practice, and in which sorrow comes to an end.
What it means
Not all happiness is equal. The deepest kind is learned slowly through practice, and once found, it actually ends suffering rather than just distracting from it.How it helps in real life
- Every day: Quick dopamine hits aren't making you happy. Build a twenty-minute morning practice of prayer and walking, and stick to it for forty days.
- When you feel alone: Filling empty evenings with food delivery and shows? Join a weekly bhajan group or sports club, and keep going even when it feels awkward.
Spoken by Krishna.
