Action started out of confusion, without thinking of consequences, loss, harm to others or one's own ability, is called tamasic.
What it means
Acting blindly, without asking what it will cost, who it might hurt or whether you can handle it, is the recipe for regret. A moment of thought saves a lot of damage. How it helps in real life
- With money: About to co-sign a big loan for a friend on impulse? Pause, read the terms, and ask if you can afford it going wrong.
- When you are angry: Drafting an angry resignation email at midnight? Save it in drafts, sleep, and read it again with a clear head tomorrow.
Spoken by Krishna.
