Bhagavad Gita · Moksa Sannyasa Yoga
Bhagavad Gita 18.24 meaning
yat tu kamepsuna karma sahankarena va punah
kriyate bahulayasam tad rajasam udahritam
Action done to satisfy desires, or with a big ego, and with great strain and effort, is called rajasic.
What it means
Hustle driven by wanting more, or by needing to prove yourself, is exhausting. If your work always feels like a strain, check whether desire or ego is doing the driving. How it helps in real life
- At work: Grinding seven days a week to prove your father wrong? Take a full day off this Sunday and ask whether ego is driving you.
- Health & body: Constant jaw-clenching and headaches from your startup grind? Notice the strain, schedule breaks, and see a doctor if it continues.
Spoken by Krishna.
