Bhagavad Gita 17.7 meaning
aharas tv-api sarvasya trividho bhavati priyah
yajnas tapas tatha danam tesham bhedam imam shrinu
Even the food each person likes is of three kinds, and so are sacrifice, austerity and charity. Hear how they differ.
What it means
Our nature shows up in small everyday choices, starting with what we like to eat. Krishna will now look at food, giving and effort to show how each reflects our inner state. How it helps in real life
- Health & body: Notice what you crave when stressed: chips, sweets, nothing at all? Write it down for a week; it shows your inner state clearly.
- Helping others: Donating this Diwali? Pay attention to how you give, not just how much: with respect, at the right time, to real need.
Spoken by Krishna.
